Updated Bluetooth Telephone for 2008-2011 XF
Updated Bluetooth Telephone for 2008-2011 XF
We are now able to update an old bluetooth module to the latest software revision.
This means if you have an old 2007/2008 module, we can update it to the latest 2012 onward software which gives you compatibility with the newer phones, proper working address book, battery and cellular reception indication.
It's a bit of a hack to make it work, so probably the best thing is we provide the modules on an exchange basis.
Modules for the X150 XK, X250 XF and L359 LR2/Freelander2 can be done on an exchange basis. Modules for the L319/L320/L322 Disco/RRS/FFRR need to be done in the car.
If anyone wants an updated module, send me a PM.

Sadly no, it's just the latest revision of the telephone module. It fixes the problems of new phones on old cars, like not connecting, bad call quality, phone book not working, and adds the battery & reception indications. That's all.
There are other options for adding A2DP bluetooth streaming, depends on if you already have the Portable Audio Interface in your car or not.
Yes absolutely.
Postage of a module from Sydney to the US is $18 with tracking in 5 business days, $12 without tracking in 7-10 business days. Not sure about what it costs to post a module to Sydney from the US, I would expect similar costs, they only weigh 300 grams and are not exactly big.
If you send me an old module as an exchange, the updated module is $175 + postage
If you buy an updated module outright, it's $275 + postage
Those are USD prices.
Now, IF you had an SDD diagnostic setup, I can also dial in to your laptop and make the programming directly with the module still in your car.
But I don't know anyone in Portland, or even nearby, who has SDD... sorry.
