Hi everyone. I've got a known good & tested remote fob that is not programming itself w/ my beautiful '99 XJR. Using the process found on this great site, I was able to get the car into "programming mode", but it just times out after 10 or 15 seconds (beeps a few times). It's like the car isn't getting the signal,but again, the remote is definitely sending a good, strong signal. Is something wrong w/ a module in the car? Were there multiple models (frequencies)of remote fobs for '99 XJR's mabye, maybe for certain batches of VIN's? I've got the exact one the local Jag dealer told me to get (315 mhz). The dealer stated they cleared-out the memory or whatever, so currently the car should think no other remotes are programmed w/ it. The car seems to be working fine otherwise, electronically speaking. Any help from you experts out there? Thanks in advance!
