Default Body Processor Module (programming?)

All the systems that are not working seem to lead me to suspect my BPM. It says it is programmable. 1)Has anyone changed one? 2) How do you program a new or used one? 3) Any boobytraps I need to Know?

Zig-Zags Husband and lead machanic or Maniac.

Sorry, but the label on these body processors is misleading. It calls it a "programmable control unit", but that is referring to the fact it is a blank module as delivered to Jaguar. It is factory programmed for a given market and then the part number is given a 3 digit suffix for that market. i.e. 001, 005, 012 etc.] To us it is programmable only to the extent that certain functions can be modified. For instance the chirp when arming the security can be turned off or on, the frequency of the chirp can be altered and I believe daytime running light could be turned on in some markets.
If looking for a used unit, look for the suffix to match your original BPM.

Happy hunting!

Thanks to All replys. after much more tinkering I replaced the security & locking module. This solved all malfunctions. Back on the road!
