Default T400 rebuild

Need a bit of help here. In a nut shell my tranny needs to be rebuilt. I lost reverse and 3rd gear all at the same time. I can't seem to find a complete rebuild kit. I want to do a full rebuild. Can one of you experts post a link to the correct kit. I have a 1989 Xjs.

Thx

Define complete.

You can Google "TH400 rebuild kit" and get lots of choices.

Broadly speaking the rebuild kits include soft parts and consumables: seals, gaskets, clutch plates, bushings. Bands, when applicable, are usually ordered as needed, as are 'hard parts' like bearings, gears, drums, and the like. Torque converters are always ordered separately by application.

Make sure to get a decent torque converter if you ever plan on going to the 6500 RPM redline the V12 is capable of. A plain-Jane $99.95 rebuilt probably won't hold up.

Cheers
DD
