I might need an intervention

It's a disease many of us on this forum have. I thought I was cured, but I spotted my 99 XK8 coupe on CraigsList at a time when I needed another car and I couldn't resist it. I've had up to four Jags at a time. And I still watch CL and other venues for Jaguars even though my significant would shoot me if I came home with another one!

I watch eBay, Autotrader, Craigslist everyday.. even though I'm out of garage space and cash! My poor LR3 got moved to the driveway this spring once the XJSC came along and she wasn't very happy about it at all. Though I must say, I do like how my garage looks now with 2 cats inside.
Next on my list is a 5.0L XKR coupe, once the prices come down a bit. Might need to invest in a lift...

Two Jaguars and a Dodge Ram pickup here....
I well remember the Fabulous 80s when we typically had five or six vehicles for two drivers. I eventually got tired of spending so much of my free time doing maintenance as well as the routine stuff like washing and vacuuming and waxing. Then there were the insurance costs and property taxes. Remembering those days keeps me sane regarding the number of vehicles we now own. And it also keeps me from scouring the net to see what else might be available....

Me too !
Why do we do this to ourselves? I have room for seven cars in the driveway but only two in the garage. Inside are the XK8 and the MX5 convertibles, and outside is the Civic, soon to have snow tires.

I'm also thinking about picking up another, but really to flip. I'm comfortable enough to know my way around these to know what they need and may pounce on a Craigslist ad in the next few months to recondition it and post it here.
These things need to be garaged, and I'm out of space to really keep another (who has empty garage space anyway? I need to lease a little warehouse). Though I still want a silver coupe.

i dont have any control over the switch in Marques !
i was an MG guy my entire life until i purchased my XK8 , Ive decided to sell the MGB and locate a Mk 10 Jag ( My dad had a Blue one when i was 7 , he purchased a Police tuned Mark 10 in UK ) He was a speed freak and wrapped the Mark 10 around a large Oak Tree after a day of golf , my memories of the car was the smell of leather and Cigars !
Also going to sell my 67 Frogeye sprite so i can concours the XK8

Sorry for the delay. Would you believe me that it's been more reliable thus far than the XK8? Sure it only has 37k miles, but it's a bit older. I spent a heck of a lot of time on the PS window motor, which had a worn sprocket. I ordered a new one (sprocket only-not the motor) from Flying Spares in the UK ($200), and had to take it to a machine shop on Irving Park Rd. to get pressed onto the window motor shaft. The whole experience was exhaustive. The only other thing I've done is replace the radiator, which had a cracked intake hose with a cheapo JB Weld repair. I had to order the coolant from California! The car is just awesome-pulls like a train. I especially like that it has a more modern interior than Jay's (airbag, center console shifter). The paint is 10 ft. deep. Driving it around in Logan Square certainly gets some looks!
