Help! 2001 xk8 convertible needs deck

Anyone know where I can find a conversion kit to mount a normal DIN unit or cd player with aux input that will fit, mine is shot and I cant find one anywhere...stereo shops want to charge hundreds for a custom install, I just want a new deck.

Vancouver, sorry my friend, there is no kit or mount that you can simply swap out your old deck for a single DIN unit. It will have to be a custom job. I would suggest trying to find another deck from an 00-06 (I think they are all the same) from a salvage yard. Also, try ken@britishparts.com (Motorcars Ltd) and Andy (jagtechohio) for members on this forum that deal in new/used parts. They've both been able to find me some good bargains on working salvage parts.
