Ok, so I have owned my 02 X-Type for a couple years, and just got into modding it. At the time I didnt want a new stereo, to keep the original look, but I also wanted to have an Ipod hook up. So what I did was buy an Ipod/cassette adapter and fed the wire through the back and into the glove compartment for concealment and popped in the cassette. Turned out real nice. Also bought a 12v socket extender (you plug into your lighter socket and it powers 3 or so seperate sockets) that has 3 sockets and a usb. Well I spliced that into my 12v and placed also in my glovebox to power all my extremities, play and charge my Ipod, and leave my lighter in place with the lid closed to give the front a more non cluttered, neater look. Will have some kind of pics loaded after I get my permissions...

Does the 2008 have a cassette deck? If not, the cassette adapter will not work.
