Indeed, a couple for sale and I have grabbed the first.

• price of $1250, used but vgc, is about 30% of new;
• fitted with 2HP 3phase motor & drive control;
• overhead drive & link bar so floor is clear;
• includes longitudinal footing bars under each post;
• located at Kirrawee near Sutherland;
• all disassembled and seller has forklift to load;
• need truck or car trailer as each 3.7m post weighs ~ 400Kg;

This is a recognized US brand almost identical to Molnar. Big plus for me is massive build and 3.2ton capacity compared to iffy, barely 2ton hoists that start at about $2000 new . . . but quickly rise over $4000 new for units of this quality. Second big advantage is overhead drive, making a trip free clear floor space, ideal for pulling gearboxes etc. The 3phase suits me fine, IIRC, plated at 230/415V @ 5.6/2.8A. I was told that a single phase 2HP from (say) Hare & Forbes is not an expensive alternative drive for those without 3phase. For some home-based DIYers, the 3.7m post and top drive height may be a deal breaker.
