True. They were pretty rough. About 60 hours total in the rebuild. Did it all myself including the vapour blasting and cobalt plating.
Bits to be plated

Before and after polishing

Before stripping

Some of the first bits completed

Hi Doug, with work commitments over the next couple of months I'm not going to get time to plan any outings. But feel free to start a thread on the Samford idea for August if you want to follow it up.

Only three weeks to go to the ABD on the 23rd. Are BBq's still banned? Are we planning a combined lunch again or self catering but eating together?
Cheers,
Doug.

Still no BBQ's this year. I think a combined lunch works well, let's see what response we get from others coming along.

I'll send out emails again in the next week or so and get confirmations from those going.

Would be interested to learn more about the vapour blasting and the cobalt plating. Are you coming along to the All British Day? Hope to see you then.
Cheers, Doug.

It’s been a tough deadline but I’ll be there !
Just need to get it registered this week and finish putting a heap of interior bits and splash guards back on See you there.

All major mechanicals finished.

After yesterday’s first drive. Good to have it back on the road after nearly five years.
