Hi James,
I thought you may be up for the track challenge after viewing your SM videos. I don't think my lazy old XJ6 is up for it, just the 100 car slow lap cruise.

 

I meant more for the modern ones but nothing wrong with seeing what a classic can do!!!
Cant pass up a chance to let the XJR loose though

Paul and I are thinking we will get the VIP package with undercover pit bay too. Hopefully we can get them side by side.
I assume the organisers will accommodate that since there will be plenty of car clubs there wanting to do the same.

UPDATE: Paul & I are going to book the VIP package tomorrow.

Let them know when you book and find out. It would also bee a good idea to turn up early and together and let them know at that gate.

Yeah thats a good point.

I know the meeting for the cruise session is supposed to be at 8:30am.

What time we all gonna meet?

Booked today, 3 in a row. But turning up at gate open time will be good anyway.
Bruce is going to book a vip package as well, and be placed with us.(they have about 30 left)

8.30 is the drivers briefing, We could meet for coffee somewhere near lakeside earlier.

Banner will be there, got to get it posted from Grant Francis in S.A.

I might look at doing the track challenge on the day,decide that when I get there.

Paul, the boys can ride along on the track cruises if they wear a seat belt.

I used to live almost in walking distance to Lakeside so i can show you some coffee spots. None real great though. We could go to French's forest down to the bakery. Coffees, doughnuts, newspapers and what have you. About a 2 minute drive.

We could meet at the gate at lakeside and go from there if you want.

What time you thinking? I think we wanna get to Lakeside by say 8:10am. Give us time to park and ample time to make the meeting.

Lakeside also backs onto the Golf Club. Maybe a beer opportunity after the even too I. Just a thought.

Either way mate I reckon weather pending there are gonna be some great photo ops. Here's hoping there will be a few more other makes of classic cars also from the Uk.

Paul, I'm thinking Lakeside gate at 7.30(opening time). I like to be early, and I always enjoy watching the arrivals.

Meeting James up near you on the Sunshine Coast sounds good for you two for travelling south.

I could hook up with Bruce at North Lakes somewhere(he should have a suggestion), I drive right by the North Lakes exit heading north from Brisbane.

I'm easy with any plan you guys want to make.

I have now also booked a VIP bay next to Paul, James and Clarke.


Clarke, and others coming up from the south who would like to meet up before the Lakeside gate, easiest place is probably Mackas (for a 7am brekky?) on Anzac Ave at Kallangur. Those coming down from the north are also welcome, but Kallangur is not on your most direct route to Lakeside.
