So, here am a Jag lover, I have a 2003 XJ8 4.2 I love her to bits! But I have to admit after riding and driving friends and Rellies Toyota's, Mitsus, etc I don't find my Jag any quieter road noise wise than those vehicles, then while in Brisbane a friend of a friend let me drive her 1975 XJ 12! I was gobsmacked! By how much quieter it was compared to mine! It was like driving a Rolls Royce! So what happened in this 30 years!Any thoughts?

 

Low profile tyres and rubber compounds.

 

Some early X350's from 03 exist they have air suspension. I've just had all my air suspension renewed recently and it wafts only noise is the exhaust system. Difference between my previous xjr6 X300 model was a lot rougher and noisy it had low profile tyres 45 profile I changed them to 50's to smooth it out
