Hi Grant & others, My name is Dave and I'm from down south (Port Noarlunga). I purchased a 2003 S-Type Jaguar 4.2L from Brisbane and it arrived a few days ago. All inspected and registered so I will be taking my wife for a short trip to Victor Harbour today. It is a truely beautiful car and I am very happy. It won best S-type in show at the UK cars meet in QLD back in 2014 so it has been very well looked after and is in great condition. All I need to do is get the saggy roof lining fixed(which I have been told is common) and have it checked for a vacuum leak(again, common I have been told). I am not a mechanic but an old teaching mate of mine named Jan who describes himself as having contracted the" Jag virus" (and has had more Jags than I have had hot breakfasts) says that this model of S-Type is almost bullet proof.. I hope he is correct!

My suggestion, for longer than I remember, is to change ALL the fluids, NOW, and I do mean ALL.

Trust no paperwork or words, do it so YOU know where it all is, and then work up from there.

I have done this since the MK7 days, way back then, and never had issues with any of them.

I can hardly wait to take delivery of this vehicle, probably more than any other I have owned and there's a lot of them.

Boatdeck was awesome, then Joe moved on, and now a waste of money in my opinion.
