Hi All
Posted in the intro thread so I suppose I'd better do the right thing and say g'day to the locals as well....
Just picked up a 1980 V12 Auto XJS as a project. Not currently running but complete and not too much rust.
Plans are to do it up over 12 months or so and use it for a Sunday cruiser
Hope to pick up lots of helpful tips & information here as well as maybe make a couple of contacts and indulge in the usual banter found on most interwebz forums
Profile stuff - male, early 40s married, kids, I also ride motorbikes etc etc.....done up a few cars but haven't really played with one in about 15 years and 1st Jag so looking forward to it
cheers

Hi Cougs,
Keep us up to date with your XJS, and if you have any technical questions on the model, I'm sure you'll find answers in the XJS section.

Cougs,
I rarely come in here, so you are blessed, haha.
PreHE is really going to test you.
Start drinking, it will help.
Find the most warped sense of humour you can imagine, you will need it.
Lots of bandaids, for you, NOT the car.
A wife that understands your passion for a thing in the shed that keeps you out there at all hours and weather, will be your best mate, mine is.
I have many, many doco's on these things, and spent waaaaay toooooo many hours rebuilding the engine bays after the fiddlers have visited, that I still have nightmares about some of them.
All in all, I would not change my Jaguar life for anything else.
ENJOY
