2001 XJ8 VDP driveshaft ?

2001 XJ8 VDP driveshaft ?
Hi ! looking at my driveshaft "hanger Bearing " the rubber contour around the bearing itself has free movement 3/8 of an inch within it's carrier cage. Is this normal, or worn out? My experience with other hanger bearings from other manufacturers are normally fixed with no movement other than the give in rubber only. Your input is appreciated ! thank you. Rick
