New member here a purchase of a 2000 S-Type 4.0 just after supper this evening. My wife was actually the one who got me to go look at the car and gave the green light to buy it if it checked out.

Only 125k kilometers on the clock. Has a misfire on a couple cylinders, going to see if there's a way to tell if the COPs are the factory ones and then look at replacing them all.

 

That certainly is an issue in the 6....nice shape! Seems a very light blue?

 

It's a 4.0 V8, so far not bad to work on. Got all new coils/plus/secondary tensioners/valve cover gaskets coming.

Kind of a bluish color, yup!

Howdy. I recently bought a 2001 XKR convertible. Basically stock with 100,000 kms. I've already had service done at both Jaguar Calgary and British Auto Specialists. British Auto were great! They installed the poly bushings I bought, and they got me a decent deal on the active rear shocks.

 

I have also had great success with X J Auto Service of Burlleigh Crescent SE. Very knowledgable and reasonable pricing. Good luck with your new Jag.
