Looks like I'm to late to enter but it should be a fun day anyway!

Just thought I would ask if there was a chance of getting a race licence? Not that I will compete but rather just filling the bucket list. I was a crew chief on my brothers camaro that we run in the players challenge that GM and Players cigarettes put on across canada in the early "90's. He received his licence by running around the now defunct westwood track in vancouver. We took the stickers off the rear bumper of the rental car and he made three laps of the track with each lap faster than the last.Sounds crazy and of course he started in the back of the pack a couple of races until he proved he could pass safely and not cause trouble,I would think using my own xk would be a lot more fun but is this still a possibility? Is a medical needed?

There are many casual track days open to the public and amateur racers, no license required.

If you merely want to run a few laps around a local track, all you need is about $100 to cover the fee, and a helmet.

Many local car clubs organize and rent a track for the day, so its just a matter of piggy-backing off them.

Sounds like Race The Base here in Alberta at the Cold Lake Air Force Base, the one here was quite the deal.
