Default living a dream

retired auto mechanic after over 50 years fixing cars of every make. Now, I finally have a 2000 Stype beautiful dark green luxury chariot. A dream come true. The little, powerful 3.0 L really flys

Welcome from a fellow S-type owner. They're great cars!

The large tires on my S-type were amplifying the damaged pavement noise. I tried raising the air pressure to 38 lbs and found a significant quieting. People are using studs in their winter tires and really chewing up the pavement because we have so little snow or ice on our roads. Instead of removing their winter tires they continue to use them when it is obvious there is no need for them. Our past winter was quite warm with very little snow or cold weather. Not at all like what has been happening in central Canada and the East Coast.
