I recall Moving from Boston to Maine last year, it was a nightmare. Hire a good moving company, check it thoroughly, and you spare yourself half a headache.

[QUOTE=kiphome;2453387]Lovely beast! I have her Sister sitting under cover not getting nearly enough love here in Victoria as well. Draconian speeding laws, local hate of austentious things and apathy have all contributed to her continued slumber. Mores the s/QUOTE]

And here is mine, also in Victoria. Do you gentlemen belong to the Jaguar Car Club of Victoria? (I have to ask, if not, why not - many benefits). Next July 23 weekend they will put on (again) the largest annual Jaguar show in North America: Jaguars on the Island. Cars from the island, the mainland, Alberta, Washington,Oregon....( www.jaguarcarclub.ca ).

meanwhile (not as menacingly beautiful as the all black version....more like a gently elegant prize-fighter): 2001 XJR

Hi Gregory, I am a member. We last met at Dick A’s barbecue. You were asking about the collector plates on my car,
Eric.

Yes, Eric, I do remember you and your impressive X308-100....I was actually speaking to other list members who live in BC .

My XJR is an original Victoria car with just 96,000 kms on it and quite pristine. I was lucky to find it. I have had the timing chains and tensioners replaced, new water pump, all fluids changed, etc.
Excellent original paint and chrome, no accidents:

None of the milkiness in the wood finish common on the 2001 cars:

Excellent leather front and rear:

With its stablemates:

Now, the job is to keep it as it is today while still using it as it was designed to be used. That should be fun

Hello from up the road in P.G. Congrats on the new cat. It looks like a real beauty. You'll love the car even more when you get it on the open highway and get a chance to really drive it.

Hi guys. Are any of you folks going to the Formula E racing in Vancouver on June 30 - July 2? I'm heading down in the XK8 for the weekend and am wondering if any of you guys wanted to get together for a meet and greet.

A brief reminder about Jaguars on the Island in Victoria, the weekend of July 23; this is annually the largest and best Jaguar show in North America. Information at the website of the Jaguar Car Club of Victoria (jaguarclubvictoria.ca ). See you there?
