How much is a paint job?
The roof of my car has bad clear coat failure, and the rear bumper's clear coat is peeling drastically. The two door mirrors could also use a respray. The car is in BRG. Can anyone tell me how much I should expect to spend? I'd at least like an idea before I go to a paint shop.
Does anyone know of a good paint shop in the Northern area of Palm Beach County, Florida?

Are you just going to paint the panels or do a full respray?
To do the panels I think a good shop will charge $800-$1000.. And its all in how they prep it before they paint it.
A full respray on the car will run $$$$ for a quality job.
**Get in touch with your local Jaguar dealer and see who they use for paint work**

Anywhere from $1000-20000. The $1000 is the Macco $299 paint special, the 20k is a full factory spec repaint for a high end car. For an acceptable daily driver $5-6k would be about right. I paid $3k for an exterior paint and door jambs for my TVR this past winter. Car went it with everything removed, only needing a couple fiberglass refills on the front end and in the wheel wells. Painter estimated he had 200 hours in the job. Paint is far from perfect but looks great and fit my needs. I wanted something I wasn't afraid to drive. Of course I already took a nice couple chunks out of the front spoiler and there are a couple rock chips up front.

Chef, like was mentioned, it all depends on what you are wanting the shop to do. BRG is a fairly easy paint to match and paint. So, that will be good in the way of keeping the cost down. But, the real question is whether you are looking just for a few body panels to be touched up or if you are looking at having the whole car redone. The touch up is cheaper (under $1000 normally), but at the same time, a complete repaint is going to fix all your imperfections from over the years.
On a side note, please, please, please don't use a Maaco special paint job. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. Sure, the car will look great after that paint job provided you don't open any door/hood. Give the car a year or two and the paint is going to go to hell in a hand basket and now you are going to be forced into a full repaint with removal of the old paint. That is going to cost you right there. So, pay me now, pay me later. How do you want it?
