How to Polish Your Exhaust Tips(Video)
I tried a few different metal polishes and got only marginal results.
This process with the steelwool and the polish although time consuming worked really well on my XJ. It's almost like chrome now.

For over 25 years my method of choice for cleaning exhaust tips has been steel wool (0000) make sure its the 4 x 0000 ultra fine and a premium metal polish such as Mothers or Meguiars. Always be cautious of the type of metal that you are polishing......many coatings can and will mar or scratch using this process....
Always try a test spot first for desired results.
