Question Liquid Glass and wax

In about another week I will be waxing my new paint job for the first time. I say wax, but I chose "Liquid Glass" its not suppose to be a wax, but more of an acrylic sealer---I'm sure you guys know it---its been around forever. I was wondering if it is possible to put a coat of good wax over the top of it. I have heard you can--for a deeper shine---but I was wondering if there were any draw backs to doing so. Has anyone ever used Liquid Glass? Thanks--Scott

Scott you can always use wax over a sealer and in fact you def should. Basically the sealer acts as a protective layer between the wax and the paint, just an extra layer of protection. So say you seal your car once or twice a year depending on how often its driven. Then 3 or 4 times as much you should fully wax it for both increased shine and additional protection. No drawbacks at all except a little extra effort. Id also recommend a wax as you dry product for everytime you wash. You spray it on the car when its half way dry like after you use a water blade but before you final dry with a towel. It also acts as a lubricant if you have a tiny bit of dirt left over on the car to help not scratch the paint.

Hope this helps!

Thank you, BMW, for that information. I will go with a good quality carnuba (SP?) wax over the top of the Liquid Glass. There is nothing better than a nice clean car.

I like to use Meguiars Gold Class. At the risk of sounding like a spokesperson, it's good quality at a good price.

I'm trying Liquid Glass recommended by a detailer. Just carnuba doesn't last long in the heat of summer. The Liquid Glass goes on smooth and comes off easily with no streaking whatsoever. Maybe the best stuff I've ever used. A bit pricey at @ $20+ per can but it goes a long way.
