Default Rims cleaned, now what.

I just finished washing the rims on my ‘97 x300 vdp. Got all of the grime and brake dust off with Dawn Powerwash and some drill brushes. They look much better but they’re missing that shine. I was thinking about using Meguiers cutting compound on them to get that clear coat polished up. Has anyone used compound on the rims?

  1. Chemical decontaminate with an iron remover
  2. Clay bar decontaminate
  3. Polish
  4. Ceramic coat
  5. Have a beer while you admire your new rims

So now cutting, just polishing? I have a can of Mother's Brazilian Carnauba wax in the closet. Would that work?
