Default Spots left on mirror trim

Hello all,

My brand new to me (F-Type) was sitting in the garage and I wanted to put some Rain-X on the windshield and mirrors. This is a car with 2,300 miles total on it and looked perfect before I touched it.

I sprayed some on the driver's side mirror and started wiping down, and noticed these awful spots were left. I started wiping but nothing makes them go away now.

Oddly, anywhere else this black trim was sprayed, there are no leftover spots.

This is aggravating me to no end! Can someone help?

I did try vinegar and water, no dice. Maybe some kind of plastic finish restorer?

Thank you.
