Hi there is a seal between the mirror and door so it could be split or missing easy job just remove the door panel and the small cover then you will see the bolts that hold the mirror on

Sorry to hear your having problems. Which mirror are you referring to? Rear view, Divers side, Passenger side?

it's actually came from three different places

1. left hand side of the windshield pillar trim (from center to bottom)
2. right hand side of the windshield pillar trim (from center to bottom)
3. control panel of sunroof

so... may i know if you have any idea for what happened? Thank you.

That sounds more like the front drain tubes from the sunroof are leaking into your headliner/pillars. There is a drain tube in each corner of the windshield pan that runs down the corners of the vehicle. Could be that all of your drain lines are clogged and it's overflowing up front.

Agreed. Alex, check your drain tubes. One in each corner on the sun roof assembly, at the pillars. they are fairly easy to clean. You can do a search in this forum or google as the problem isn't unique to Jaguar.

Yup, I would say front drain tubes clogged with leaves and crud. Very simple to rectify. Happened to me the first time i took it through a car wash.
You'll need to remove the cabin air filter and get your hands in there (passenger side under bonnet and window cover). On the driver side it's under the plastic cover where the brake fluid is held, and under the window cover.

Hi Trosty,

I agree that it's a good idea to clean those drains below the windshield cowl, but just so we don't confuse Alex, from his description of water spilling from his sunroof control panel, I think Sean is correct that Alex's most immediate problem is clogged sunroof drains, the openings of which are in the corners of the sunroof frame in the roof.

Alex's sunroof seal must also be leaking. On our car the seal only leaks when subjected to the high water pressure in a car wash - it doesn't seem to leak in normal rain.

Cheers,

Don

I already cleaned the hole under the windshield and also the holes near by the sunroof tonight. it's really dirty... full of leaves and soils.. will try to clean it again ON tomorrow and also make a test to see if the water will still go inside the cabin.. if yes..then i will go to an independent shop for repairing, if not then i am good AND THANK YOU ALL!!!

Are you guys using compressed air nozzle to clean the drains? Or do you actually run a pipe cleaner or small brush inside the holes?

I have used "weed wacker" line in the past. Works great, and is long as you need it. Also it's not too stiff to damage the hoses, or dislodge them. Just feed it thru and spin it.

Mark's idea of weed whacker line is really the best way to go. 12 or 14 gauge Electrical wire also works but fold the end over and crimp, then melt the plastic over the end as you don't want a sharp end. I'm referring to single strand used in home wiring, not braided.

The drain lines are thin flexible plastic. You've probably seen clear rolls of tubing in hardware stores. You can poke through them if you use something too stiff (think the sharp end of a metal coat hanger)

The tubes slide over the metal holes leaving the sunroof in each corner and are held on by clips.

Too much force can slide them off if you use too much force.

For this reason, compressed air is not recommended and I doubt you need that much pressure anyway. If you use compressed air, keep it under 5 psi.

Ok all that said, you don't have to baby this job of fishing a line through the tube, just know you shouldn't muscle it either.

Finish this off by pouring some water down the drains. The water will appear on the garage floor behind the front fender wells and in front of the rear fender wells (if memory serves)
