Default Auxillary coolant pump

Hi, only just joined the forum.
I have a 2007 S type 2.7 diesel, earlier this year, the 3 way water outlet failed, the one in the middle of the engine. After that i have had no heating in the car, only blows cold, the drivers vent is slightly warm but still feels cold. I first suspected the dccv but having read that if the fuse was pulled, number 32 (10 amp) that the vents would blow hot permanantly, i tried this but still blew cold. I am now thinking that it maybe the aux coolant pump, from what i have read. i cannot find where this pump is situated on the car, i have checked forums etc etc. Any info or help would be much appreciated. I am reluctant to take it to the main *******s just to get it diagnosed.

Did you bleed the air from heater hose? (not absolutely sure if S-Type 2.7l have it) Sounds that there are air in heater matrix.

hi, I don't know how to bleed the matrix, can't find any info on it, I have opened the bleed screw on the expansion tank and ran the engine at 1500rpm, could not see any air come out, thanks for your reply

Default DCCV

After much hassle trying to find out why my heater only blows cold, i managed to find the dccv, with the engine running and the heater set to high, all of the pipes going to the dccv were cold, i have 5 pipes on mine, i would have thought that when heating was called for, the pipes would surely be hot, any adevice would be great,

Hi, yes ive bled the system.
I managed to change the auxillary coolant pump, absolute nitemare, mainly be cause ive not done one before, after much hassle, bad language, etc etc, i managed to do it.
With the new pump fitted, i still have no heat in the car, the inlet pipe to the aux pump is hot and the outlet pipe is hot, which tells me the pump is ok, from the top of the pump, the hose goes to what i can only describe as a tee valve which attatches to the expansion tank, from the tee, there is a pipe that goes down to the dccv, this pipe is cold, so to my mind, if this pipe is cold, is it that the dccv is closed shut thus not allowing hot water to flow through it, or could it be the ecm not asking the valve to operate, any help or suggestions would be brilliant, thanks in advance.
