Default Diesel Coolant Temps

I will preface my remarks by writing that I do not own a Jaguar diesel. I have an '07 XK. Diesel Jaguars are not imported to USA. Been experimenting with lower coolant temps. My Jaguar ran consistently at 203F. Found an aftermarket thermostat through which I was able to reduce coolant temp to 185F. Benefits from this are reduced pre-ignition, which reduces both power and mileage.
I also researched coolants, particularly non-aqueous coolants. Evans Coolant is the only one I found. One of my heros, John Fitch, was a developer of this coolant. Fitch was one of the greatest drivers in the 50s; and is known for his integrity and engineering. In my opinion, anything Fitch produced is the "Real Deal".
Researching Evans Coolant came across diesel trucks being converted to Evans Coolant, which allowed them to operate at higher coolant temps. This necessitated higher temp thermostats, like 215F+. Installers claim to experience 5-8% better fuel economy.
Incidentally, Fitch also invented the "Fitch Fuel Catalyst" which is essentially an octane/cetane restorer. I have used it successfully on my Jaguar and BMW allowing me use 87octane without pre-ignition.

hey rey, hehe, i use the Evans waterless coolant i my Mazda rotory been 8yrs no probs with overheat, and no boil at 210-220F, only thing is the fluid expands more than water(by volume),so have to leave system down a little, leave an air expansion level
, also run a low pressure cap, not more than 5-7lbs, evans recommends no pressure at all, the coolant boil point does not increase with more pressure, like water/ethylene does.

best about it NO corrosion or rust.
