Question Brought my Series 3 Roadster's brakes into the 21st century

New brakes and new shocks on all four corners improved the ride tremendously! The work was done by British European Auto in San Pedro, California,

Does the new brake system work with the OE master/booster? What the the parts you had installed? Obviously wilwood calipers.. the disks?

I have the same car. I put on the same shocks with new springs. The car seems to bottom out easily and god forbid you go over a speed bump. I adjusted the shocks to try to avoid any travel or rebound. Have you had any bottoming out issues?

I did the same shock conversion on my 73 2+2. I started with the shocks in the neutral position and made several adjustments until I was happy with the ride and handling. The rear shocks are maxed out to the stiff setting. Everyone I have talked to have told me the issues with bottoming out. I will be doing the Wilwood Brake conversion next winter.

Our series 3 cars are not sports cars, they are Gran Turismos made for comfortable long distance driving. I can tell you from experience they are comfortable long distance cars.

Nora, Jeff at British European Auto does great work.
