E type S1 air cleaner, engine details
As I wind up a few projects on my nearly complete 1967 E type OTS, had a couple questions:
1) Air Cannister color - Referring to lower portion that houses air filter element. Mine is currently black (repainted during resto.) I see some references to 'later cars had silver hammertone' finish replacing black. My car is of course 'late' but not sure to what degree, or what chassis number the hammertone would take over?
2) Coopers Element decal - I found a great reproduction. Does it go on either black or silver cannisters?
3) 'Date code' on engine anywhere? I clearly see my number stamp, but didn't know if there was any corresponding date reference located anywhere.

Thanks GTJ! So this'll work...

My breather LID (not the lower cannister portion that's currently black) is already hammertone. So those two are BOTH hammer, right? Just making sure before I do anything too goofy.
