Hi, gang:

Car is a restored, bone-stock 1964 OTS, 3.8 liter.

I recently heard a new noise from the front of the engine and isolated it to be the fan belt tensioner. It hops and jumps around quite a bit (see attached video).

I checked the spring tension and it seems to be pretty firm.

Any ideas as to what the problem might be?

The bearing in the tensioner needs to be replaced.
