Idling problem, 72 xke V12, auto, 59k miles

Idling problem, 72 xke V12, auto, 59k miles
I'm a newbie to the forum and a new "old" XKE owner and need help.
I've had the car for about 2 months with no issues. Drove this morning with no issues. Later start, warm up the engine, has smooth idle, place it in reverse and the engine dies, starts easily, runs smoothly, place it in gear and the engine dies.
Checked vacuum hoses for leaks,
Changed fuel filter 1 month, 200 miles ago,
Checked fuel pump and get plenty of fuel.
Any suggestions?
