Default Interior Kits

Anyone had experience with Lakewell Full Interior kits (Series 2)? I am about to pull the trigger and have settled on them due, mostly, to cost. Moss comes in 2nd, but Lakewell is a full $1000 less and from what I can tell ON PAPER the contents of the ktis are ALMOST identical. I looked at O.S.J.I. and Barratt; the former does not publicize a price and the latter is nearly double Lakewell.

At today's exchange rate the cost is about $4200 USD. including shipping $311, and insurance $81. I would also buy the set of 60 assorted clips.

Perhaps one of the members of these UK forums might be able to advise you.

Hi....

Mr. E back in the barn yet?

Lakewell is actually in Belgium so pricing is in Euros. I pushed the kit all the way to checkout and the total came to $3200. And yes, I am ordering all kinds of screw and hardware assortments for interior panels, convert top, bumpers, etc. not to mention rubber gaskets and pads for lights and rubber seals for doors etc.

Lots of folks have used Moss, of course, but I haven't found any testimonials for Lakewell.

I have it stripped down about as far as I dare; still looking for the confidence to remove the front head lamps and trim. No good tutorials and no screws appear to be accessible.

Cheers!

Tu devrais regarder chez bas international aussi.
Mon frère a fait sa type e série 1 FHC 1965 avec eux en 2014. Il utilise beaucoup sa voiture et l'intérieur est toujours aussi beau. Ils peuvent tout fournir....

Default Fanou says....

You should also look at BAS international. My brother did his 1965 Series 1 (with them) in 2014. He uses his car alot, and the interior is still beautiful. They (BAS) can supply everything.
