I'm new to the forum so sorry for my questions if they have already been asked or answered (a link to a previous forum discussion would definitely help me)...

Started a search or "quest" for my father's 1970 Jaguar XKE. He purchased it new in '71 and sold it in '80. Recently, I found paperwork for the car and I have had a strong desire to track it down as it would be incredible to have it back in the family (we really regretted selling it afterwards). Any tips/tricks in terms of tracking down the car? I did a VIN search and it showed a new title was issued in Michigan in 1996. Other than that, I am lacking any information or ideas of where to go from here. Thanks in advance.

Sold to second owner: Detroit Area, 1980
