Default Need Original 1966 Jaguar Key Blanks

I recently bought a '66 E-Type. The seller could only find one set of keys for the car, so I am in the market for key blanks. I have no idea what, exactly, I am looking for since I have found no information about it. The key set that came with the car does not look original, but replacement types. Can anyone steer me in the right direction for the correct blank keys? Thanks.

Have you pinged the usuals? Jaguar wasn't great at configuration management but the usuals seem to be able to (mostly) point you at the right items. Just searching for "key" on XKs Unlimited's site had several hits. I'm sure Welsh, Terry's and SNGs would prove similarly hopeful.

Contact Peter Groh (the British Key Guy). Peter probably has your keys factory cut if you have the codes. Often he can provide codes from a good scan (yes he is that good). He can supply blanks but the key company Wilmont Breeden plated their keys after they wer cut so they are more durable. Good luck!

Hi, new to the forum. I have used keys4classics.com (I believe in New Zealand, maybe Australia) to get blanks for ignition and door locks and had them copied locally. Worked out well.

You can just go down to your local locksmith as long as he's old enough. The cars used the same keys as almost every other British automaker and he should have FS blanks that he can use to make copies of yours.
