Default New Exhaust Manifolds

I am shopping for replacement exhaust manifolds for my 1969 Jaguar E-Type Series ll OTS. I found some at SNG Barratt. I am looking at the porcelain-coated ones. Does anyone have experience with these? I am interested in how durable and long lasting the porcelain coating is -- how long it lasts.

Thanks

Peter

I have purchased the Barrett manifolds and have had mixed results. If your exhaust runs hot, for instance from very hard driving or too lean a mixture, the coating may fail quickly. If temperatures are more moderate and you break the manifolds in as instructed, you can expect longer life. I have had my 68 since new and even the originals were rough after a couple of years use so do not expect too much. Barrett has been good about backing their products if they fail prematurely.

Our Vitreous enameled manifolds now go through an extra couple of stages in their manufacture to ensure they last!
Of course we do have strict fitting instructions and a warming process to adhere to for the first couple hundred miles, after which you should expect years of show quality looks.

If your purchased manifolds fail within a reasonable amount of time and you have not neglected them or sprayed them with a hose after a long drive we will replace them FREE.

Feel free to contact me for any further info.
