Paint/Body shop in Central/SouthEast Wisconsin
My 69 E coupe suffered front end damage today (no injuries to me) and I'm looking for a competent body paint shop.. Green Bay, Milwaukee, Janesville, Madison, Fond du Lac.

if you are willing to go farther you may want to consider Muncie Imports & Classics in Muncie In.
Hi, Valerie:
I can heartily recommend Muncie Imports & Classics also…I think they are the best in the business. Don’t worry too much about the distance. I sent them my E-type for a full restoration even though they were 700 miles away. They kept me up to date with emails and photos.
Good luck!

Alan, thank you for your recommendation. How did you get your E to them? The bonnet on mine is shifted to the right side (it was open when it hit the cabinets) and won't close. I don't think an open carrier would be good at all.
Thank you so much for your help and support. I will keep Muncie Imports on the list. I may also be able to get the car into the restoration shop where I stripped the E to bare metal in 1994. Sport and Specialty in Durand, IL. They have done many Es and are only about 2.5 hours south. The appraiser is coming Monday, 8/28, so will know more then.

You may want to see if the insurance company will spring for a new bonnet, bumpers, headlight trim and turn signals. There's a lot of metal work to do in order to get the bonnet close to the way it was. You don't want them to slather a ton of Bond-o on it. There is a lot of bolts holding the bonnet together and the man-hours will rack up fast. So in the end it may be cheaper to get a new one VS. fixing what you have. In the end you'll be happier with new one.
P.S. Make sure the bonnet support and/or frame rails aren't damaged.
After watching many of Chuck Hadley/Monocoque Metalworks' videos on bonnet repair and sending him these photos of the damage, he encouraged me to have mine reworked. The bonnet was up at impact and so it did not push into the bulkhead/cowl. The undervalance is mashed, but turn signals look OK. MM will refit your valance to his structural inner valance section. So that may be a possibility. All the help, counsel and guidance I get is is much appreciated. Appraiser comes Monday, 8/28.
