Hello there folks,

I am considering buying a1970 xke in the Atlanta GA area. I would like to have pre purchase inspection done. Can anyone recommend a person that goes to the location of the car and provides this service? Any info would be greatly appreciated. The seller is hesitant to drive the car 40 miles to the shop that I found.

thanks for all your help. I have found a very competent person who is a life long vintage car enthusiast thru Auto Appraisal Group. He is looking at the car tomorrow.

 

Thats too bad!!!! vintage car enthusiasts would have to have an intimate knowledge of XKEs before being able to make any
intelligent judgements or evaluation on these cars.

Any owner would tell you how different XKEs are to restore !!

 

My generic inspector missed the edge under the rear hatch. All the rubber on the car seemed to be crawling it's way back to a more natural state resembling coal... on that spot water sat and corroded badly the entire bottom edge and about a foot up the sides. I already managed to find a source for that edge, it won't be that bad.
