As I’ve posted previously, I don’t have a radio and speakers and was looking for ideas for music. Several members chimed in with great ideas from installing a Retrosound unit to hidden bluetooth receivers. If anyone is curious, I went with different option. I was browsing through Best Buy and saw the retro styled Marshall line of bluetooth speakers. I tried each of the different models out and decided on the Marshall Kilburn II. The sound is tremendous, fills the cabin nicely and on Amazon I paid ~$180.00 for a refurbished unit. I like that it matches the car’s era styl-wise. Again, just throwing an option for anyone interested!
Nice idea! The '60s styling of the Marshall is a great complement to the Jag styling.
I had wanted to keep my cabin free of add-ons, and am currently in the process of putting a hidden Bluetooth and amp behind the radio console. New speakers in the original openings (Infinity was the only manufacturer I found that had a 6.5" speaker that would fit). It's still in the planning/wiring stages so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will work!
Thanks! FYI, when I was investigating installing speakers, I found these on Moss, according to the description, modified to fit the E type. Moss also has Speaker Seating Rings to allow proper speaker clearance. Hope it helps someone!
