Series 3 V12, Rack hard lines and PS pump
I've got a Series 3 in my enthusiast shop that I need to get back on the road quickly. Searching the usual suspect to buy parts is proving to be fruitless and frustrating as I've received low quality and incorrect parts recently and dont have time to waste. Apparently quality XKE parts are becoming a bit harder to find than they were in the past. The XKE needs a new PS pump and testing has shown that it has a leaking hard line on the rack after a rack rebuild. 2 Questions....
1. Anyone know which GM pump will fit in the XKE's pump housing. I presume any 1972 GM Saginaw pump body will work but I was hoping someone can confirm an application.
2. Anyone made their own rack hard lines with NiCop lines? Should I just use steel? NiCop would be far easier to fit and to make those 90 degree arch bends,

My power steering rack was leaking on my Series 2 and neither Moss nor SNG no longer stock the racks. However, SNG guided me to Vintage Jag Works in Blackfoot , ID (wherever that is). I talked with Joe and he was very knowledgeable. I sent the rack to him, he rebuild it and it was about a 3 day turnaround once he received it. I am sure he can rebuild your pump or tell you which GM pump will fit. Likewise I would think that he can replace your hard lines or help you with what lines to use if you decide to do it yourself. Good luck.
