I have started in earnest with the cosmetic "restoration", perhaps "refresh" is a better word. The major challenges include partial replacement of both floor pans, installation of complete interior kit, and repaint. No delusions of Amelia Island, just an attractive driver. Toward that end, and the fact that I neither have the knowledge of skills of a restoration specialist, so I am taking some shortcuts.
I replace as much of the floor pans as necessary. I will explore purchasing a light duty welder, but also will consider screws and sealant. I may take liberties with the interior, including as I mentioned, a color coordinated dash pad and visors, i.e. red. I am in process of removing as much chrome as possible in prep for paint. Today came off the rear bumper and I am thinking I will use SS replacements.
Besides getting all the electrics to work after reinstallation, my biggest challenge currently is removing the bonnet chrome.and headlamp trim; nothing substantive on YouTube.
