Default Valve adjusting shims

Making my way through the engine rebuild of my 66 OTS. I am in need of some shims and I thought I would ask about in the forum before buying new. Would anyone want to swap some shims via post. I am in the Houston area so if you are around here.
I have a batch but one never has all the right sizes.

Ok, so no takers on your offer. Actually a very good idea too!
Many years ago when faced with the same issue, I soon learned one needed a bunch of different sizes available to get the proper clearance. Since I did not want to buy a boat load of different sizes (expensive back in the day), then, pick through them and return the unused, I made my own.
I purchased cold rolled rod of a specified diameter. I sliced "wafers" from the rod, then, sanded to the correct thickness. After which, I heat treated the lot. That was 40K plus miles ago. I've owned my jag for nearly 50 years.
Good Luck and Happy Holidays

Supposedly there are other vehicles that use the same shims. SAAB for one. I am still looking around the Houston area to see if I can find a willing partner in crime.

I broke down and bought the shim kit from XKs, Costly, but I shimmed a MK7 in 3 hrs., and have plenty for my 2 MK 1s. A lot easier and quicker than running around and looking for the correct ones. Dealer, last time I asked ( 1975 ) wanted 8 hrs. + parts, with me bringing head to the shop. Did mine after ordering $25 worth of shims (1975) in 2 hrs.
