XKE brake issues
Hi all,
I have a 1970 XKE that has been experiencing some brake issues recently. There's a lot of pedal travel and the braking performance is very, very poor (scary poor). Is there anywhere else I should look besides the normal suspects (brake lines, master cylinder etc)?
Thanks!

If this has come on rapidly and there's no fluid loss, check whether the flexi hoses to the calipers are ballooning under pedal pressure.
This used to be an issue in the late 60's / early 70's saloons and E-Types. It was generally resolved by switching from OE to steel braided aftermarket hoses.
