I still have a 2005 XJ, 2014 XJ and now an XE. And I'd still drive that Daimler if I could !

The Belgian government decided to tax these cars (XJ8 and XJR) like crazy. So I've decided to buy a much more expensive tesla which will be paid for greatly by the government...

Not yet a Jag owner but hoping to soon order an F-Type. I have a test drive coming up in two weeks so I hope I can bite the bullet after driving this beauty. Oh, I am from region Mechelen/Leuven/Brussels.

Angry new road tax rules in flanders

All,

After a short wintersleep I put the Jag back on the road and applied for a new licence plate.
Was I surprized to see that new taxation rules apply an increase of the yearly amount with 50% going from 2000euro a year to 3100 euro.
Also I noted that although the plates where received in april the payment period started as of 1 of march.
These rules only apply in flanders part of belgium, so if you live in brussels or the wallon part of belgium you are a lot better off. Speaking about discrimination...

Regards,
Luc

You can have them on new car so I suppose it can be ordered as spare parts, ask any Jaguar dealer

After selling the XJ X308 3.2 last year with a lot of regret, I am again looking for a good 4.0 but a X300 this time from Belgium or the Netherlands. A strong preference for a Daimler (ofcourse or a Sovereign "will do just fine".
I have been looking for a 4.0, aspirated or XJR or even 6.0(no 3.2 /XJ6 base) from a private owner. Ideally a Daimler Six in acceptable condition.
It's starting to get very difficult to find a decent XJ X300 around here. Especially with the 4.0 that has not been neglected or for sale at Bentley Continental money.
If you have one or know someone, please let me know, thank you.
No dealers/specialists etc(after some bad experiences).

I'm yet another member from Belgium and I'm (quite literally) just a stone's throw away from the Netherlands and less than 20 km from Germany.

i'm new to the thread, to the forum and to Jaguar ownership.

Thumbing through the 'social groups' on this site, I noticed that there are groups for many areas on this planet, but there wasn't one for Belgium, so I started one.
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/g...le-belgium-45/

I don't know of a way to automatically invite all members who have their profile set to Belgium, but I'm hoping many will find their way over there anyway.

Where do you all buy your spare parts other than the Jaguar d(st)ealer?

I have the following shops in my favourites list(don't forget to add 20% VAT) :

https://www.britishparts.co.uk
Jaguar, Daimler, MG, Mini, Triumph, MX5, Morris Minor, Car Parts from David Manners Group of Companies in the UK
https://www.jaguarclassicparts.com

Anyone know any other shops that send to Belgium/Netherlands?
