Should I Clear Bra?
Hi Everyone,
I just got the new 2010 XK ult black / black. I've had it since friday, put about 170 miles on it this weekend just putting around.
I was wondering if I should clear bra? I have some people say do it to protect the car and replace it, other says not to do it, and just repaint when the car gets rock chips, however, it gets chipped more than on the front bumper.
I don't know what to do.
This car is a garaged one. Going to start a little collection and barely drive it. I have it in locked storage. I will drive it only on nice days, out to dinner, on dates, etc.
I don't know what you guys think is worth it or not.
Any advice would be great.

I have a clear Bra on my everyday driver, but I wouldn't put it on the Jaguar. You can see the line and the shine doesn't come thru as well. The dealer charges around $300.for the bra and a repaint is 500-$700..I would go with the respray if the chips got bad enough.

Don't do it. The line looks like sh** and is pain to detail around. For the amount you'll drive it, it's going to take a long time before you'll need to (if ever) repaint it. Stone chips do not look that bad if the wear is par with mileage and the rest of the car.
