Default Extend the warranty?

So i have 2021 F Pace 250S, it currently has 13,800 miles on it, i was at the dealer the other day and briefly asked if i could extend my warranty
once i hit the 5 year mark on July of 2026, The said they could but didn't really discuss price or for how much longer it would go,
My question is Should i ? and is it worth getting it from the dealer

Did you purchase the car or lease it?

The problem with EW is it's limited warranty. The car has 13K miles and it has the Ingenium engine (petrol/gas) which is rock solid. My suggestion is go easy on the car and it will give you problem free years of service. Do a short OCI of 5K miles to pro-long the life of the turbo and timing chain

OK. If it was leased you could give it back with the understanding you'd like to buy it back CPO. I did this with a couple Volvo's. I have tended to break even on CPO deals.
If you are looking to keep the car long term I absolutely agree with above that oil change interval needs to be short. JLR says my AJ126/133 is 16,000 miles. I do 5,000 miles.
I don't necessarily agree that the 4 cylinder is the one to keep unless the newer generation has the Ford timing chain situation solved.
The only extended warranty worth anything is one that is exclusionary - says what it WON'T cover and is accepted by the JLR dealership.
It has been proven that you are far better off putting the payment for a warranty in savings and self insuring is a better strategy. Unless of course you get unlucky with a bad car and don't actually remember to save the payment.

No need to use JLR's boutique oil when you're doing 3K or 5K mile OCI. Just use any top tier 0W-20 oil brand that you can find at auto parts store or at Walmart. I just did a 5K mile OCI on mine 3 weeks ago and I'm currently using Quaker State 0W-20 syn (I've used Mobil1, Valvoline and Pennzoil before). JLR's apprioved and recommended oil is only for 16K mile OCI
