F-Pace SVR P575 Not Downshifting?
We have a 2020 F-Pace SVR and stepping on the gas pedal at, say, 80km/h, the car will downshift aggressively. We have a fairly new 2025 SVR P575, and it doesn't seem to want to downshift the same. If you step on the gas, it will stay in the current gear and do its best to pull, but no downshift -- and this is whether I use the D or S setting. I made sure the gas pedal goes all the way down without getting impeded by the floor matt -- it 'clicks' at the bottom of its range so I don't think it is a problem with the pedal or aftermarket floor matts. Is there a software setting that may be causing this? The car is at about 2500 km so I don't know if it is limiting downshifting due to break-in? Very strange -- has anybody encountered this?
Strange. My 2023 SVR has always downshifted just fine. I have never got the pedal anywhere near the floor! It takes off well below that
Have you tried dynamic mode rather than normal comfort mode?
Can you manually downshift with the paddles or is that blocked too?

My 2018 2.0 XF when at a stopping point and then I slowly step on the gas pedal (at a slower pace - like, I'm following someone walking) it will not go to the next gear when I stepped on the gas to speed up. It does not happen often (only once in a blue moon). Making me to believe I am confusing the ZF transmission computer system. From stopping point, I just step on the gas pedal as normal and it never does it again.

In retrospect, I don't think the 2025 SVR is any different than our 2020 SVR with respect to aggressively downshifting. I think the difference is that the 2025 is significantly quieter than the 2020 when accelerating and it gives the impression that it is not as fast/aggressive.
