An article in today's Globe and Mail is titled "GM, Jaguar roar ahead" and the articles states "Jaguar-Land Rover Canada posted the best month in its history with sales that topped 2,000 (in March) for the first time. Jaguar's impressive numbers were powered by the new F-Pace sport-utility vehicle, the first entry by Jaguar into the hottest market segment."
Yup...for those unfamiliar with the Canadian market, sales of this magnitude for JLR are unprecedented, but they reflect the quality and appeal of its cars. And no, I do not work for the company but I have owned Jaguars for 25 years, and loved every one of them.

 

Well, so much for Jaguar being an 'exclusive' marque. Soon everyone will have one like those weird Merc and BMwhatsis cars. Ewwwww.

 

I ordered my F-pace 5 weeks ago in the Montreal area. Still, the dealership cannot foresee any delivery date, let alone confirm one...
Although i was really eager to own this great car, i'm very disappointed to be left in the dark. That's definitely not the attitude i'm expecting from such a prestigious brand.

Every attempt I made to get more information from Jaguar Canada resulted in the same answer: "we're not aware of any delays, please talk to your dealer". Needless to say I was happy with this politician answer...

I will wait 10 days more, then cancel my order to buy another brand. That's not what I wanted, but there's no way I will endure this.

 

Does the name of the dealership start with 'D'? If so, I'm not surprised.

 

Flyercan's situation is likely unique to his dealership in Montreal. I have nothing but positive experiences with my JLR dealership elsewhere in Canada.

 

Exactly. Soon every Mike, Dick and Harry will be driving one. Keep the hoi polloi out.
