no more SVO paint allocations for SVR's in 2022!!
So I FINALLY decided to build my own SVR!!
(I've looked at everything on the market but couldn't find the exact spec I want)
Velocity Blue paint
black gloss trim package
ebony suedecloth .and light oyster seats
satin gloss black wheels (5017)
and a few other things
My local dealer had a build allocation available. I wanted Velocity Blue paint which is considered a "SVO Premium" paint.
When the dealer was entering my order today we learned that no more new orders for SVR's will be built with SVO paints for remainder of model year 2022 !!
I could order a non-SVO paint order but not SVO.
Very bummed !!
Anybody else heard about this??

JLR's first excuse was the pandemic, then it was a shortage of chips and now it would appear to be a shortage of paint. The truth is more likely that as profit comes from volume, if you can't sell many, why build any.
We have had a number of reports across the forums about ridiculously long delivery dates and particular specifications simply not being available. A cynic might suggest JLR are deliberately cutting back on production until they go all electric.

We ordered a F-Pace D300 R-Dynamic SE in Atacama Orange in early Feburary . Delivery is now January 2023 = 11 months
It's for the wife. Lucky she says she is not in any hurry. We have the option to cancel if it takes too long , but I don't think we will . Just wait
PS we are in Australia if that makes any difference

Last December (2021), dealers in the Brisbane area told us, "if you order now you are looking at delivery in 2023". Everybody I know is looking at the used car market. My 2016 F-Pace keeps increasing in value!
