Programming used BCMs?
Hey guys, I'm new to the forums and Jaguars, in general, I'm currently working on a 2020 F-pace SVR that was flooded. After repinning and cleaning all the wiring harnesses I'm now at the point of replacing and programming damaged modules. The question I have is if it is possible to program a used BCM or if a new one is necessary. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated I'm sure this will be an ongoing project for quite a while.
Thanks for your time,
Zeb.

Welcome to the forums Zeb,
That IS a major project.
On earlier Jaguar models where SDD was the diagnostics, I'd have seriously considered a re-programming a used BCM. However the BCM/Gateway Module plays an increasingly complex and central role on post-2016 Jaguar vehicle systems and this could be a step too far.
Taking on this repair, you must have JLR Pathfinder available. Does module programming in it not give any hint on whether the BCM can be setup from scratch regardless of programmed status?
I haven't (yet) had anything sufficiently serious go wrong with my F-Pace to require investment in Pathfinder.
