Is there a radar detector built in?? My husband said he saw it pop up on the screen but we can’t find anything about it in the manual. Thoughts??

 

That would be the fixed speed camera warning coming from the navigation system.

 

NO - there is no radar detection built into the US specification vehicle.

He has probably noticed the Traffic Sign Recognition which detects speed signs or displays the limit information from the navigation system. Here's the relevant extract from the online US Owner's Handbook:
