Default Test drive / first impressions

Loved the pickup, ride, comfort and exhaust note. Had a very tight turning radius ... which was a nice surprise. Stereo sounded great. Gauges and controls did not seem overly complicated. Plenty of leg room in the back seat. Loved the panoramic moon roof.

Rear-view mirror and side mirrors felt small and I can foresee blind spot issues between the front and back side windows.

The trunk size was a bit of a disappointment. The "lid" or whatever is attached to separate the trunk space from the cabin space seemed like it is unnecessary and will get in the way. As did the "bump" from the full-size spare. Overall the trunk compartment felt clunky in design. (We just looked at Volvos and their's were super tidy.)

Styling and of course badge are nice. Limited colors are disappointing, at least for the lower-end models. What is it with luxury cars? Are people afraid of color? You are paying a lot for the badge, but with the attitude of "Look at me, but don't look too close at me!" Black, gray, gray, gray, gray, silver. It's SO refreshing to see these cars in a color!

Lastly, need a roof rack for kayaking -- so need more UTILITY in this sport utility vehicle. Guess I'd have to buy their cross bars, etc. or whatever is compatible with the car. Add more $$$.

Overall, it's the car I want but probably not the car I need. It's close. Damn close. But not paying MSRP or above to get one.

Was a fun test drive though!

Curious to hear from owners on any quirks, recalls, or mishaps they have had with this vehicle. Loving the power and sound compared to other same-sized vehicles / brands.

Personally I would like to see more shades of Blue. I'll probably buy a CPO in 3 years for 1/2 the MSRP.
